There are many factors that you should consider when you have big projects like this two projects above. I summarized the report on the following requirements needed for projects that will affect the human being and the environment:

b.) Ground level Ambient Air Quality Data

c.) Water Resources

d.) Water Quality

e.) Liquid Effluent

f.) Soils

g.) Terrestrial and Aquatic Ecology

h.) Public Health

If you will not consider all this things you will jeopardize the life of the people and the environment. 

We Want Change

It will always start within yourself

My classmates wanted change for the better. They wanted to stop the crooked mentality of each others mind. They want to see change inside the classroom. I was really astonished because I didn't thought that they will make the first move to make a difference in our classroom. 

We started cleaning our classrooms and avoided throwing our thrash everywhere. We cleaned the the ceiling  and walls of our classroom. We then realized how dirty our classroom was. We considered our classroom as our second home it is now time to start within ourselves the effort to make a change. 

Environmental Laws

Is there a environmental law? If it "exists" why does our environment suffer from our own mistakes. Why do I see the Pasig River so dirty and full of garbage's? I see garbage's everywhere even if trash cans are visible. If there is a environmental law, why do we still experience those deadly floods and landslides that kills hundreds of innocent people. Does anyone care? If they do... why did they not protect our environment? Even the president cannot do anything or even arrive with a law that will completely help our environment. Instead they focus on things that are not necessary. I wish that they could somehow make a move which will definitely decrease the destruction brought by the human race. Creating a law that will clean the Pasig River will be a good start to give hope for the environment.

Para naman sa gobyerno, sana naman kahit maibalik nila sa dati ang Ilog Pasig. Gumawa sila ng proyekto na makakatulong sa pagaayos nito. Kung gusto may paraan kung ayaw may dahilan."

Atmosphere

With the destruction of the lithosphere and the hydrologic cycle comes with the devastation on our atmosphere. Pollution brought by the industrial evolution led to the destruction of our environment. The cars that emit pollutants to the atmosphere are also one of the problems we are now facing. 

A greenhouse gas (sometimes abbreviated GHG) is a gas in an atmosphere that absorbs and emits radiation within the thermal infrared range. This process is the fundamental cause of the greenhouse effect. The primary greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere are water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone. In the Solar System, the atmospheres ofVenus, Mars, and Titan also contain gases that cause greenhouse effects. Greenhouse gases greatly affect the temperature of the Earth; without them, Earth's surface would average about 33°C colder than the present average of 14 °C (57 °F).

Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, the burning of fossil fuels has contributed to a 40% increase in the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from 280 ppm to 397 ppm, despite the uptake of a large portion of the emissions by various natural "sinks" involved in the carbon cycle. Anthropogenic carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions (i.e., emissions produced by human activities) come from combustion of carbon based fuels, principally wood, coal, oil, and natural gas.

As a mechanical engineer I will help to prevent this drastic change to the atmosphere by creating hybrid cars that will use less fuel and the car should be more reliable to electricity.

Lithosphere

It is also important to know how our lithosphere works. The land that we are stepping on must be studied thoroughly because it may also be the one jeopardizing our lives. Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are scoped by the study of the lithosphere. If will not dare to study it, lives would not be saved and no one will or can warn us about this natural disasters. But it is not only the problems in our lithosphere two of which are soil pollution which is brought by directing the chemical waste on the soil and another one is soil erosion.

We are responsible on this devastation and we should do something to lessen the destruction. As a mechanical engineer I would do my best to protect the environment.

Pasig River - Quadalupe

In the Philippines specifically in Metro Manila, one of the the environmental problem we are facing is the polluted Pasig River. As we look at the Pasig River, we could see the intensity of the destruction we brought to our environment. 

Ilog ng Basura

Sa pag-sakay mo ng MRT galing Taft papuntang Quadalupe station masisilayan mo ang Pasig River sa may Quadalupe bridge sa EDSA. Kung mapapansin mo napakaitim ng tubig nito at puno ito mga water lilies. Hindi magandang pangitain ito sapagkat hindi ito ang dating Pasig River na kinalakihan ng mga ninuno natin. Sabi nila na napakalinis ng Pasig River nung mga panahon nila. Klarong-klaro ang tubig at kulay asul pa ito. Ngunit ano ang nangyari? Sa paglipas ng panahon, nawala ang tunay na ganda ng Pasig River. Hindi na inalagaan at naprotektahan dahil sa kapabayaan natin. Ang resulta, hindi na ito maituturing na Ilog Pasig sapagkat puno na ito ng basura at wala ng mga isda ang pwedeng mabuhay dito. Hindi na maituturing na Ilog Pasig ang ilog na ito. Isa rin sa mga problema dito ang mga nakatira sa sa tabi ng Ilog Pasig dahil sila ang taga-tapon ng basura sa ilog. Hindi ko malilimutan ang aking napanood sa telebisyon ng sinubukang lusungin ni Kuya Kim Atienza ang Ilog Pasig. Ang dami niyang nakitang ibat ibang basura doon at ang masama pa doon nakakita siya ng diaper ng bata doon marahil nga doon na rin dumudumi ang mga taong nakatira sa tabi ng Ilog Pasig. Napansin din niya na parang kumukulo ang tubig na hindi naman dapat. Parang wala namang pakialam ang gobyerno sa Ilog Pasig. OO, merong mga truck na kumukuha ng mga basura sa Ilog Pasig, ngunit hindi ito sapat dahil mas marami ang NAGTATAPON sa NAGLILINIS. Kailangan talaga ng DISIPLINA at kaayusan kung gusto nating malinis ang Ilog Pasig dahil ang Ilog Pasig sa akin ay nag sisimbolo ng PAGASA na kung malinis man ito at naibalik sa dati, nangangahulugan lang ito na kayang pa natin isalba ang mundo sa kapamahakan.

Naniniwala ako na kaya nating ibalik ang Ilog Pasig sa dati........

Future Pasig River

Ano ang kaya kong gawin para sa kalikasan?

Ano ang kaya kong gawin para sa kalikasan? 

Nakakalungkot mang isipin ngunit kahit isang munting bagay lang ay hindi ko maibigay o magawa para makatulong sa pagsagip sa ating kalikasan. Sa pagka-mulat ko sa katotohanan, napakalaki na talaga ang nagawa nating pinsala sa ating kapaligiran. Nasanay na ang aking mga mata na makakita ng basura sa paligid, pakalat-kalat at palutang-lutang sa ilog at dagat. Napapaisip tuloy ako kung baket wala akong ganang gumawa ng hakbang para man lang makatulong o sadya kayang nakasanayang ko ng mabuhay kasama ang mga basura. Ano ba talaga ang kaya kong gawin para sa kalikasan?

Hindi ko lubos maisip bakit kaya ang kitid ng mga utak ng mga tao sa henerasyon na ito. Sinasabi nila na kailangan mong maging edukado para alam mo ang nangyayari sa paligid mo ngunit edukado ka man o hindi kung makikita mo lang kung gaano kadumi at kaitim ang tubig ng Ilog Pasig mapapaisip ka na lang kung bakit nadungisan ang dating malinis at puno ng buhay ang ilog na ito. 

Gusto ko ng pagbabago at sisimulan ko ito sa aking sarili.

Iniwasan ko ng gumamit ng mga styrofoam, karton at plastic kapag ako ay kumakain kasi sa aking palagay kung pakunti-kunti tayong umiwas sa pag-gamit nitong mga styrofoam, karton at plastic maaari nating mabawasan ang mga basurang itinatapon lamang sa ating kalikasan. Kaya sa aking munting tulong para sa kalikasan kumakain ako sa mga carenderia na hindi gumamit ng ganitong mga bagay. Binawasbasan ko na rin ang pag gamit ng kuryente sa bahay. Hindi ako basta-basta nagtatapon ng basura sa aking kapaligiran. Kung may basura man ako, naghahanap ako ng tamang tapunan. 

Marami pa akong hindi nagagawa para sa kalikasan, ngunit alam ko sa maliit na bagay na ito alam kong kung maraming tao ang gagawa nito malaking pagbabago ang magagawa natin para sa mundo.
